Can someone please explain to me why the new MOG music service is innovative?
The playlist building feature on MOG looks no different than playlist building on iLike or iMeem.
Building playlists should be as simple as drag and drop. The music must also be accessible. The MOG database isn't as large as an iMeem or even that of a Last.fm or Pandora.
Sources say MOG will also start charging for playlist access via subscription, as will Myspace. This is of course to preempt Spotify which is struggling to set a launch date in the US.
There's not much innovation that goes into building a solid playlist. It's not really how you add the tracks as much as how you share it. Playlists should be embeddable anywhere and downloadable if at all possible like they are on iTunes.
